We went over to the Brookville Lake area and spent a couple nights this week. We rented a cabin from "Dreams End Cabins." They weren't anything real fancy but they were clean and the hot tub worked. These wouldn't be a bad place for fisherman to stay because you're only about a mile from the Egypt boat ramp. Here's the cabin we stayed in.... Chase and Booey playin' some 'shoes. We went to the tailwaters on Tuesday and cast a little bit of everything and didn't have a bite. It was like raging rapids coming out of the lake. They stock the tailwaters with brown and rainbow trout and I've heard that it's a great place to catch walleye too. The only thing enjoying the high water was the ducks though... Bored fisherman.... The view of Brookville from the dam.... The lake....

Just curious, what did the cabin cost? Here's the website; www.dreamsendlogcabinrentals.com/We paid $130 then the second night was half price. I would recommend the "Woodcliff" cabin as it looked a little newer and was off by it's self. We found a good place to eat in Brookville called the Pioneer Restaurant & Lounge. Good burgers, walleye sandwiches, and a lot more. It's right behind the courthouse. We ate at the Mexican restaurant the second night and it was REAL good. Booey got a wet burrito and I got the "Manager's special" burrito and they were bigger than our heads! Probably the best burrito I've ever had. When we walked out there was an awesome looking truck in the parking lot that ended up belonging to Elite Series bass fisherman Bill Lowen. I wanted to go back in and get pics with him but was afraid he might not appreciate it. I should have taken pics of the truck. Here's one I found online but it looked alot better in person. The hood is green with the Buck Knives logo.

Did you guys try to fish in the lake? Chase and me did some casting at one of the boat ramps. This is the lake that the Indiana DNR puts all the "extra" musky when stocking and I was hoping to latch into one.
