Last week in May camping at Shakamak. Last week in August Keewenaw County UP Michigan camping at Fort Wilkins in Copper Harbor.
Strippitman by buddies father lives right across the road from where the Queen II docks. Boat that will take you to Isle Royale. Some beautiful country there. You'll love it.

I first talked to her about going on a catfish trip on Santee Cooper (which I really, really wanted to do) but she wasn't thrilled about being on a pontoon for 8 hrs. So, the next day she sent me links to some deep sea fishing charters she liked and I'm getting ready to schedule an excursion! Unfortunately I had to cancel our charter trip  I had to spend about $1300 in repairs on my wife's vehicle. She hit a big pothole and warped two tires and bent both rims also.  Oh, the joys of winter in northern Indiana. |

My spring break starts next week and we just booked a trip. For the first 3 days i will be going on a hog hunt in Lexington, Ga. And then we will be loading the jon boat up and heading to south carolina to do some fishin'. We will be staying at a cabin at lake keowee. I cant wait!

As of 11:15 this morning I'm ON Vaction!  Still not sure where or what we're doing. My wife, Kim, flew down to Florida this morning with her sister, mom, and grandma. They went to Treasure Island and are staying at the Bilmar Resort. She's been texting pics to rub it in.  Crappielady had a nice surprise for us this evening, she made us a homemade pizza and strawberry pie! We might not be soaking up the sun with our toes in the sand, but we're eatin' good!   |

Well, school starts tomorrow and no vacation for us. Heck, I couldn't even afford gas for the camper to go camping this summer.  Anyone else do anything?? |

I put in a BUT-LOAD of hours at work. Finishing up a batch of mead this week and startin another soon after. Once thats done, my VA-CA time will be on hold till deer season. Heck, My wife got TWO vacations this summer. AND they were both to HOLIDAY WORLD and she's goin AGAIN on the 20th. OF COURSE I had to work all 3 trips...

Just got back Thursday night from our "final fling" before school's back in. Headed to northern Ohio for our first trip to Cedar Point. Had an awesome time. Their roller coasters are unbelievable, especially Top Thrill Dragster.

Glad to hear you had a good time over here in Ohio Monty. Cedar Point is an awesome place. Hard to believe one of the best amusement parks in the world is right here in Sandusky, Ohio.

Well Fellas, I'll be away from the site for the next 10 days. I'll be fishing, hiking and camping on a remote island in Lake Superior - Isle Royale National Park. I hope to catch a lot of pike, a few walleye and if I'm lucky a lake trout might be on the end of my line. Pictures of the excursion will be forthcoming when I return. C-ya!! |

Just got back from Dale Hollow. Not a fishing trip but we did stay in a house boat with a group of friends of ours. There were actually 2 house boats and 4 "go fast boats." I had never been down there before and couldn't believe the size and how deep that place is. A lot of fun on the water and a lot of fun when the sun went down.
