Attempted it on Guntersville today, launched out of Goose Pond, had 2 hits all day, both on a T-rigged beaver. felt good, it was 66 degrees, water temp was 44. Caught this one on a beaver, atleast we werent skunked! Attachments:

Holy smokes. That's a huge drum! That had to have been a fun fight. I caught one close to that size on Lake Erie last spring and thought I had a world record walleye on.

That had to have been a fun fight. I caught one close to that size on Lake Erie last spring and thought I had a world record walleye on. It just about pulled me out of the boat! I thought I had a 12 pound large mouth on, then I saw the wide flash of the drum and my heart kind of sunk

I gave it a try this afternoon but couldnt get a bite in our north georgia pond. while fishing two deer hunters came down and told us that they were about to hunt there and asked us to move to the other side. so we just decided to quit and come back for some lunch. It was a beautiful day at about 65 degrees. tomorrow is the last day of extended archery so we wont have that problem any more. At least i got out and wasnt just sitting on the couch all day.
