Chase and me went to the park this evening, we got a late start because we had to drive down to Linton to find bait. We first went to Shakamak Lake, no one was on it, but we could see where some guys had been. I drilled a hole a little way out from the steps and it was only 1 3/4 inches! I eased my fat butt back to shore and we decided to try elsewhere. Lenape looked about the same, covered with slushy snow and it didn't look like anyone had been out there. We drove around Kickapoo and saw a couple guys by the boat docks, so we tried there. We played it safe and drilled holes off the dock and found about 4 inches. Started getting bites as soon as I dropped down, but they were running a little on the small side. This wasn't fatboy safe ice and I was hanging close to the dock. We managed half a dozen in the little time we fished. One of 'em was more towards what you expect out of there. I was just glad to be on the ice and can't wait to get back!
