If any of you have the Handy Cam by Sony you may have ran into this as it is one of the biggest reoccuring issues with Sony. My wife has a Handycam and over the summer error C32:11 came up on the screen and the tape door would not close. Sony wanted between $100 to $500 to fix it. We let the camera sit in a corner and I bought her a new camera for her birthday. We tape our kids racing every week and now Im going to start tapeing hunting and fishiing.
I thought about this camera today as I bought a Mustek and am not impressed with the battery life or micro phone on it. I got on Youtube (between it and google you can fix almost anything including surgery). Sure enough there were a crap load of videos on this error. I found one done by a guy who says he is a Sony repair man. His first vidoe showed how to break the camera down and replace the mode gear (this is the source of the problem according to several things i read and watched) His next video showed how to fix the problem for free. I dont know how it worked but it did and now I am up and running with a Handycam and my Mustek. Im stoked.
