This ones been a favorite in the Bell family for years. Lightly coat deer steak/chops with flour and brown. Put in shallow baking dish and cover with sliced onions and 1 beer. Cover dish tightly with foil. Bake at 350° for 2 hours(or longer at a lower temp.) This smells sooooo good when it's baking. It smells like you're baking yeast rolls. Very simple and very good. If I messed anything up in this recipe, I'm sure crappielady or Monty will let me know.

You pretty much nailed it! Just salt and pepper to taste. One of the simplest and my personal favorite deer dish! Think I'll get some steaks thawing out right now!

Wow man that sounds great, meat and Beer, what more does a guy need. I have put beer in my burger as it sautees for chilli for a long time and love the flavor it gives the chilli meat, cant go wrong with barley pop, yum.

Got this going right now in the oven. Had to use burger instead of steaks but i think it will still taste fine. Also have some mixed veggies and Hawaiian Sweet Rolls with it, and thinkin of maybe some fried taters...
