I just checked the KY DNR site and applying is a go. You have until April 30 to enter. I'm torn between what I'll submit for. You can choose 2 of the 4 categories (Archery-bull, archery-cow, firearm-bull and firearm-cow). They are only going to draw 800 tags this year. Here's the link to their FAQ. fw.ky.gov/elkfaq08.asp |

Good luck spainy! That is a tough choice on what hunt to put in for. I guess you could spend 40 bucks and put in for all 4.  |

Well, I haven't submitted yet and I've just been debating it this whole time. I think I should spend a little more time researching this whole subject all together. Down to the areas of where the hunting actually takes place in KY and the elk hunting itself. There's 24 days left to submit so if I'm going to I need to make my decision.

I'm leaning towards archery for this anyway.
Just another night at work for me and Monty will be back here again bright and early.
