Well.....a guy I work with was to suppose to bring his beagles down this morning and we were going rabbit hunting, but he didn't show up. I wanted to do something outside, so I decided I'd give those Greene-Sullivan trout another try. I snelled some gang hooks to use with the nice redworms that Dad keeps, and headed down to the forest. I fished from the bank with slip bobbers and tried various depths, but didn't get the first bite. It was a nice cloudy day with light snow flurries, looked like trout weather to me. I was so excited to fill my buck tag early so that I could try other things this fall. I've been duck hunting a couple times, haven't seen a bird. I've been fishing a couple times and haven't had a bite. So far everything I've tried has been a bust since killing my buck. Fall turkey season comes back in the 4th, maybe my luck will change.

Love that cooler!! I have one JUST like it, except m y lid has turned pink from the many, MANY years of use....bought it YEARS ago as a lunch box when i started my apprenticeship. It has also serviced well through the years as a bait/beer cooler on my trout hunts. As far as being a bust...sounds like the hunting Gods are telling you you need to get back out on stand a drop a doe or two!
