Nice, can't wait to get back on the big pond. You didn't try over at the reef for any grease balls(lakers).

Made it out to the reef the weekend before and just turned around. Rollers from the NW and gusting from the eash shore with a pretty good rain to boot turned me off. Like to get on em out there when I can but fish out of 16ft semi-v so I'm dependant on fair weather. Usually get a couple limits of em out there each fall. Awesome watching them fight down in that clear water. Little off color this year. Like them fatty lakers on the smoker too.

This time of the year is hard to make out on the water an have to be very careful. I have not been able to make out due to deer season an lack of money. But the guys in the club I belong to have been doing o.k for lakers at the reef. What ports do you usually fish out of?

Fish mostly out of Burns & Michigan City jawbuster. The little while I was out there to the reef marked em pretty good just didn't have any boat control to keep a bait near em. Most boats that were fairing the weather were jigging that day and were getting on a few. Thats how it goes sometimes and the steelhead make a nice option to go to.
