After a frustrating bow season with a few misses, Sam finally connected this morning on a doe with his 20 gauge. Turns out maybe I was the problem. I ended up having to work last night, so his mom said she'd go along this morning if he wanted. They hadn't been in the buddy stand for more than 15-20 minutes when a couple does came through, and Sam dropped the hammer on one. Said he had a shot at the second one, too, but passed (regretting it now)  . He made a great shot on her. Way to go, Sam!!!   |

Congrats Sam. Looks like a great shot in the picture. Now I know what went wrong in our turkey hunt I've been thinking about that for 7 months. |
