Are they rutting up where y'all live? I am going to hunt outside of Mount Vernon, IL, over Thanksgiving and was curious to whether or not they are still in the rut up there. Thanks guys.

Yep. Ruts been in full swing around here. Good luck, there's some BIG bucks in that part of the country!

i hunt in friendship indiana thats the southern part of the state and i havnt seen any rutting going on the bucks i have been seeing have small necks ...so does anyone think its possible that there not rutting yet

the buck i shot on saturday in indiana didnt have a swollen neck or smell like he was rutting... but he had already got the he11 knocked out of him remember though it was a small buck so idk..hope this helps  |

the rut had been goin on, i've saw lots of swollen necks and bucks chasin does, saw a small buck on the trail of two does this evening but it hink the ruts startin to fade away.

A guy that neighbors are farm said he saw a huge 12 point walk out from our woods then his dog started barking and scared it back in, so im hoping to go in after him this weekend.
