Got home this evening from school and my Grandpa came down to tell me there was a big buck behind his house this morning so that's where I headed. He said the buck and his racehorse were having a stare off. We have a stand setup back there but its set up for more of a bow shot. So I decided to stand against a fallen tree. He said it was chasing a doe so I soaked the tree in front of me with some Pinnacle Outdoors Doe in Estrous. I had been standing for a couple hours and saw some turkeys and a squirrel that I thought was gonna jump on me. I had the camera set up on the tripod to my left. At a little after 5:30 I look out in the field (to my right) and spot a nice buck. Not long after that he's running to the woods with a slug in him! No kill footage but got the recovery, I was too scared I would spook him. ::)After Pa saw it he said it wasn't the one he had seen that morning. This is my second buck and is my biggest so far. Here's some pics! Thanks Booey for getting away from your video games long enough to take some pics!

Awesome buck Chase! I just saw the pic on facebook and came right on here to comment about it and read the story. That buck is definitely a step up from last years. Great job!

Looks to me like he was trying to grow a "bonus" point off the G4 on his left side. That's a great buck, kid! Too bad the cameraman wasn't around to get full footage Thanks for sending me the text last night.

Great Buck Chase! I'm real happy for you, eventhough yours is bigger than mine. I knew it was a matter of time that you put a big one down, you put to much into it not to. Looks like you've got some good genetics goin' on around you. Did they age that buck when you checked him in? Looks like he may have been a 2 1/2 year old but sporting a great rack. Thanks for the picture at school I had a lot of comments from students who saw it on my desk.

Looks like he may have been a 2 1/2 year old but sporting a great rack. That's what I think too. I told Chase that he killed a future MONSTER, but I don't think he appreciated it.

I never realized this until I was watching some older videos tonight....Chase killed this buck within FEET of where he killed his spring tom.
