Here are some pics of nice deer my buddies have shot so far this season. Unfortunately, I haven't connected yet. The first 2 images are of the same deer my buddy shot on Tuesday evening. This deer has a neat history. First of all my buddy saw this buck fighting another bigger in an open field he hunts and tried sneaking up on them. The bigger buck, after whooping this bucks butt, ran off so I buddy shot this one at 150 yds with his muzzleloader. As he was walking up to it, the other bigger come running out in the field a stopped at 80 yds Anyhow, my buddy has been hunting this deer for 2 years now. He has several trail cam pics of this buck from his other hunting ground which is three miles away! At the time he shot this buck he had no idea it was the same buck he had been after until he walked up on it. Pretty cool, huh? Oh, and this deer features an 18" spread, 5" bases , double brows on both sides, 12 scorable points, longest tine is about 10". This deer will gross about 150". This deer my hunting partner shot on opening morning in my woods. Real nice heavy 7 point featuring a 12-1/2" G2 on its right side. And 4" bases We have called this deer "Moose" due to its palmation. We have seen this deer many times over the last 3 seasons. My buddy has several trail cam pics of this buck too.

Those are some great bucks! I love the look of ol' Moose there. Congrats to your buddies! Where's yours? I don't know if it's gonna happen for me this year All these bucks were shot within 1.5 miles of my hunting grounds so I'm sure there aren't too many "shooters" left. Although, we did still see a giant 8 point across the road from me a couple of mornings ago.
