Filled My Tag II

I shot this buck at about 4:40 today. It was the closest encounter that I have ever had with a deer. I decided to set on the ground even though I have a stand about 40yds from where I was (didn't want to get caught in a down pour.) I sat on a blown down tree with another standing tree for cover. At about 4:30 a doe came down a run about 35 yds west of me. She just sort of hung around for a little while so I was focused on her hoping a buck might be following. I was being careful not to move so she wouldn't bust me. After a few minutes this buck came flying down the hill from my east. It was raining so I couldn't here him until he was close. I turned my head slightly to the left only to see this brown blur come to a skidding stop right beside me. I'm not kidding, I was eye to antler with this thing at no more than 2 feet. He saw me at the same time and took about two jumps back the way he came and stopped, turned broadside at about 8 steps and I shot him through the heart. I had no idea what size he was. Turns out he is a basic 9 with a crab claw on one side and also has three stickers all over 1" so my son is calling him a twelve pointer.
