I'm on vacation! I'll be up bright and early though and in a tree. I tell ya what fellow campers; if I fill my tag tomorrow, I'll be the "camp cookie" this weekend and get up and fix you guys a hot breakfast every morning before your hunts. (And then go back to bed. ) Monty - we need to talk about stands. The buddy stand is still where Chase shot his buck last year. The closest bow shot is about 25 yards. We might need to move it to a better spot.

Monty and me both "almost" got it done yesterday. I drew back on a buck at 20 yards, but he busted me and Monty was drawing back on a dandy and "oopst" an arrow into the ground under his stand. We're heading back out now. Hope they're moving as good as they were yesterday morning!

Catfishsam "whiffed" on a little doe this morning @ about 15 yards. We're not giving him a hard time at all about it. The 2 young does then went on to Chase's stand where he passed on them. No "brown and down" this year I guess. Chase also saw a couple mature does, but they didn't come in range. I didn't see squat from my stand. I've got some beans cooking over a fire right now, then we're gonna try again.

I went this evening and saw a doe and a little 4 point, and found a big rub close to my stand so hopefully i will see what is making it. Sam, it happens to the best of us!

Don't let em' ride you too hard Sam, we've all did it In fact I'm 0 for 1 this year myself, and it wasn't a spike I think I may have given myself a concussion beating my head against the tree.

Maybe this is the problem..... .......he's dreaming of big bucks then wakes with the shakes and misses the little ones!

Passed on a little buck this morning. Sam and Monty went back to their place and have a monster back there. It came within 30 yds but he said they couldn't get a shot.

Good luck guys... I stuck a small doe today and missed yesterday on a really nice 8 pointer. 140-145 class deer. went home and shot my bow and it was shooting 2 feet low. That explains me missing 2 times in 3 hunts. Its dead on now..
