No it prolly is because you guys were back in there lookin for it, Usually that doe would be gone by now from the coyotes it also may be becausethats how deer are one minute they are all over and the next there gone. Just stick with it and they will be back im sure good luck

I don't think it's because there's a dead deer around. I've seen deer walk up to a gut pile and give it a sniff, then continue on their way. Chase set a trail cam on a gut pile one time and got as many pics of live deer walking by as he did yotes, dogs, and buzzards. Sounds like you've got a good spot and I'm sure they'll be back.

Ya thanks its all a matter of pacients. If you hunt enough they will come and try to get on them beens they will clobber them up also they are lovin the acorns this year not a whole lot of corn since last year was a big corn year. Try to get close to those funnels from a thicket to a field in the evening cause thats where them big boys are goin I got that one in fort wayne indiana on a 35 acor woods and field That is next to a highway and a lot of houses so those deer arent always on those big country properties too Stick Wit it and u will get a crack at one sooner or later
