to all Indiana deer hunters who will begin hitting the woods for archery season. I'll tell ya, October snuck up on me this year. I am not ready at all for archery season but I'm glad it is here. This is the "most wonderful time of the year" not just because of the hunting seasons but NCAA and NFL football are in full swing, baseball playoffs are about to begin (no Red Sox this year ), temperatures are much more enjoyable (this summers heat sucked a$$) and just the natural beauty that is about to take place with the changing of the leaves. Hopefully, this is the year I bag a good one

Couldn't have said it better myself, Matt. Kim and I were just talking last night about how it still seems like it should be summer and we oughta be making plans to go camping. This is a wonderful time of year, unfortunately it's also my busiest time of year at work. 60+ Hour weeks are good for the pocket book, but don't leave time for much else. Good luck to everyone who gets out in the woods this weekend!

My hunt wasn't so great either, lots of coyotes, lots of squirels, but i don't think the deer were wantin to come to close to the coyotes. Did see something that i;m gonna say was a coon but it was small, black and moved more liek a dog or cat. it could have been a small dog but i don't know.

I finally get to hit the woods in the morning. Just bought my tags online, even flipped for a fall turkey tag, so that pretty much assures that I won't see any birds this fall.

C'mon Troy! You're supposed to shoot the turkey first, then buy the tags JK

C'mon Troy! You're supposed to shoot the turkey first, then buy the tags JK Yeah, I know. I got a feeling I may be making my first batch of turkey tag soup.

Seen a dead buck on the way home from work this evening. It was on state road 46 by the Maryland Church. Looked like a 6 or small 8. I guess they're movin!
