Caught these on fresh prawns(what you guys call shrimp) off the local beach. 12 foot beach rod, egg beater reel, 10lb mono line. Top one is a Bream (31cm) Bottom is a Tarwhine. (40cm) Pepsi for comparison And while I'm posting some pics, here's some kookaburra's in my back yard the other day.

Yeah, they are good eating Troy. And Anthonydykes( or dykesy, much more Aussie) when I read you eat Kookaburra wings, I thought WTF. I just googled them, haha, never knew. But not a proper kooka though.
BTW, I nearly lost that bigger fish. The hook came out right at the end and a wave was only 1 foot away from freedom. A quick scoop and throw up the beach saved the day.

( or dykesy, much more Aussie) works for me. Is the name dykes common down there? It has a Scottish Lineage.
