I was fishing with my grandpop in a pond(a lot of trout) and I decided i would try some fly fishing. I started off catching some huge sunnies and then they started to get smaller. As I was reeling in a small sunny I saw a large shadow following the small sunny and then it disappeared. Then as i'm about to pull it out of the water a largemouth bass appears out of nowhere and its starts to circle the bait All of a sudden it eats the small sunny and takes the sunny. Remember I have a fly rod with only about ten pound line. It was about two feet long and my grandpop said it was at least ten pounds. I couldnt stop it from taking line so i just held the rod and prepared for a long battle. It probobaly took about 40 feet in five seconds. After around 30 seconds the bass spits out the sunny and surprisingly it is still alive. I was disapointed that the bass got off.If it stuck on there it would probobaly have pulled all the line off of the reel. It happens and I think that would have been one of the biggest fish ever caught in the that pond
