Went over there this evening to try for carp, but after trying for about 2 1/2 hours without any luck at all, I finally had to finally give-up and leave since the park is closed at night.
When I had my third and final pole reeled about halfway back I felt a sharp tug and instantly assumed I must've snagged something...then I could feel that it was some kind of fish...and then a fair-sized bass came to the surface trying to shake the hook from it's mouth!
I guess sweetcorn looks good to a bass as long as it's moving at a high rate of speed!
