Strippitman and his son were down this weekend for a family reunion and we were able to get out for a little fishing. Last night we went over to the Greene-Sullivan Dugger Unit to try West Lake. We took crappielady's boat and fished less than an hour before Booey informed us via a text that storms were headed our way. We headed home and I fried up some hot wings and we ate and drank and stayed up too late. Oh, and it never rained a drop. This morning we were up at 6:30 all bright eyed and bushy tailed and headed back to Greene-Sullivan. We started at Reservoir 26 and Evan caught one to break the ice. Dad had to give some advice on the proper bass holding technique... Chase was out in the kayak and caught a couple dinks... Next we tried Reservoir 26 and I was able to get the skunk off... We got a visit from the CO at 26. Glad I remembered my license! Next up was Airline Lake and Matt was finally able to rid himself of the skunk. I walked around the edge of the lake and found some bluegill on nests! We couldn't believe that they would still be spawning in this heat. Matt caught one and then Evan caught one to end our trip. Thanks for going out with us guys! Hopefully you can make it back down when the weather cools a little and they're biting better.

looks like fun, have you ever tried Reservoir 29A? on the map it is marked an acid map, however there are some very large bass in it. I use to hunt near it when I was in college and always seen the fish from the bank.

The bass in the top two pics was caught at reservoir 29, our second stop was 26, and then we stopped at airline lake. Wish we would've had more time to fish but just spending time together was worth it! Thanks guys! Enjoyed meeting the rest of the family, too!
