Good 12 incher. i got him near a huge rock in near the shore. But im not sure if its a Smallie or a Rock bass. Tell Me what you think! Attachments:

Awsome Chase! THe reason i thought it was Rock was because the lack of color. But nevermind thanks for the help!

yeah for sure smallie and a nice one at what 13 or so inches ? the lack of color is from the water clarity or lack there of and they will change to match their surroundings

Considering that the only two smallmouth I caught were about 3 inches, I like rock bass.

Like was said, the smallmouth will change its color with its surroundings, they also will get dark stripes when they are pissed off. Put a yellow one on a striger and you will see what I mean after about 10 minutes.
