i got a pretty sweet little 10 gallon fish tank setup for 40 bucks at walmart yesterday and the water should be good to go tonight so im gonna catch 2 or 3 young of the year bluegill and throw them in ill post pics of the finished setup with me new little fishies tonight maybe

well only caught one that was small enough might be too big at around 4 and a half inches its a bluegill green sunfish hybrid i forgot my real tiny hooks at home or i would of prolly been able to catch the size i want i might take this little fishy back and get littler ones might bring out the minnow trap

yeah real funny but anyways im taking the bigger one back today and gonna try to catch the tiny ones cuz this guy is hating this and wont quit freaking out

Just wanted to let you know I used to have a fish tank and tried putting little bluegill in it but they wouldn't stay alive. I also tried a little 1 inch bass minnow and it didn't do good either. I did have a pumpkin seed that lasted a couple weeks though. Good luck!

were u planning on using actual pond water and soil and plants and stuff? It seems to me that making it as close to a pond as possible would be best.

im using pond water from the pond but im using fake plants and just a gravel bottom i had one when i was little and we used the pond plants and dirt and it just was never clear and was all crummy looking

what do you mean whats the point? i was wanting to keep bluegill to have them as pets and just observe them but this guy is not doing too well and doesnt seem like he will pull through

Oh i just didn't know what the point of the whole thing was, I had a friend who did this a couple years ago but never asked him why.
