Well fellas, I've got another dandy recipe for you to try. It's very simple too. This recipe would work with any cut of steak but I prefer ribeyes for there tenderness.
Ingredients: Several Cloves of fresh garlic Kosher or sea Salt, do not use table salt Olive or Veg oil Steaks Black Pepper
Crush the garlic cloves with the side of your knife and peel papery skin off. Chop the garlic somewhat fine and then add a couple of pinches of the kosher salt. Use the side of your knife and press the salt into the garlic and repeat until a paste is achieved. Coat steaks with oil and then rub garlic paste into all sides of the steaks. Repeat making the paste until you have enough to coat all the steaks you are making. Sprinkle with black pepper. After coating allow the steaks sit out for 20 - 30 mins while you prepare the grill. I use a charcoal grill b/c here's the key to making awesome steaks: you need to achieve extremely high temps! I can achieve much higher temps w/ charcoal than I can gas. For example, when I made these steaks I stuck my digital thermometer in the grill and it read around 700 degrees. Pile your charcoal high and allow it to completely ash over with bottom vents wide open and lid removed. Once steaks are placed on grill directly over heat source place lid back on grill and open top vents completely. Allow steaks to cook for about 3 min then flip and repeat. Move steaks off to side (away from heat)and close top vents and allow them to set in grill for a couple of min to smoke a little. Enjoy!
