Since this week is our spring break, we decided to stay at a cabin by Patoka Lake. It was nice, it had a hot tub on the deck that we couldn't get Booey out of!

The fishing was terrible though.

We were fishing for everything! We tried the tailwaters one morning with no luck.

The Dam

Later we fished by a bridge on the river going into Patoka. Booey finally broke the ice with a tiny crappie. Later I caught a little spotted bass. Both on jigs. Booey took the pictures of the fish on is camera, so he will post those pics.

Bummer guys!

Well, I hope it was a fun trip anyhow. Man that beverage looked tasty! I'm trying to shed a few pounds so I have temporarily cut beer out of the diet :'(

. Not an easy thing to do.

Me and the boy will be heading down your way on April 2nd for a weekend of fishing. That is the start of his spring break as well. I know it is little ways off but the forecast for that weekend is looking outstanding! I hope I didn't speak too soon.

well guys i'm sorry to see you had to leave, and i'm also sorry to say to whoever thought that was a smallie, that i believe it to be a small large mouth. but thats just my opinion, i could be wrong. small mouth's are usually more of a brown colour. But atleast you did'nt get skunked like dad. LOL. BTW Troy, Looks like you were doin some NATTY-ICE fishin. I been known to do a little of that myelf. 8-)
