Don't buy a climber unless you have an abundance of extremely straight trees that don't have any limbs for the first 20 - 25 feet! I know too many guys that have bought climbers to find that they aren't very effective. They either mount them permanently in a tree or leave them in the garage and never use them.

I have two climbers myself. They are essentially the same. One I bought and the other was donated by a friend. I use mine a lot. Strippitman is right you can't use them in any ole tree. Here are some plus/minuses of a climber from what I have experienced. + Comfort - the one you have on here looks pretty comfy, I can sit in mine all day Versatile - I hunted 9 of 10 days in one stretch last season on 7 different properties with one stand. _ Noisy - they can cause a racket if you are not careful. Not just hanging them but carrying them in as well. Hot - You can work up a sweat carrying and climbing, nothin' worse than workin' up a sweat before a deer hunt Straight Tree - Like SPman said. I do use mine a lot. I like hang on stands and use them some, in fact I use my climber to hang my other stands. I have an 18' rope so when the rope gets tight that is where my stand goes. Also if you do get one, practice first. There is a nack to climbing with these things. You will want to start your platform angled up or by the time you get to your desired height you will be leaning down. If a tree leans a little they are the best because it will make it up for you. Also I know a kid that climbed up fine but couldn't get down. Better if that happens in your yard than way back in the deer woods

It looks comfortable and well built, so if you think it will fit you, then go ahead.

One more thing to remember with a climber is to make sure the two sections are tied together somehow. Learned that lesson the hard way when the bottom section slipped off my feet....
