Jordan's out of town with my in-laws this week, so my wife, Angela, joined Adam and I for some carp fishing today at Monroe. The weather was great, but the fishing was s-l-o-w as we only caught a couple of small ones. The fish Adam caught. Angela thought it had a neat tail!  Adam angles as Angela admires:  Angela and I teamed-up to catch this one. I set the hook and she reeled it in...her first carp catch!  |

are you using hair rigs? what is you're most effective bait? and what brand rod reel and other stuff do you use ive thought of getting into carp fishing but its a little daunting and expensive maybe in the future

great pics! hey vinny, you don't need all the expensive gear just to get started. but once you catch that first one, you might go carp crazy and get it all anyway!

And canned sweetcorn is probably about as good a bait as anything else from my own experience. If you're wanting to get into carp fishing, I'd recommend visiting Westside Bait and Tackle in Indianapolis. Good people there and it's really what they specialize in. That's awesome that you got the wife out with you. I can hardly ever get Kim to go with us. Congrats to Angela on her first carp!

thanks for the info didnt think to check this again till now and im good friends with the guys at west side bait and tackle my dad has known them since he was a kid and we set up at their yearly fishing show as antique lure specialists so ill have to go there to get my stuff thanks again
