i started using weightless wacky rigs earlier this year and all my fish over 1 pound have been caught on it i first used trilene transition in 8 pound test on a shimano syncopate reel and a berkley amp 6ft 6in medium action rod but the retrieve spins the line on light mono and curls it so it snarls and backlashes .....the solution i switched the mono to 30 pound power prol braid which has no memory and wont snarl also is far more sensitive especially with the amp rod then i tie a uni to uni knot from the main line to 15 pound flourocarbon to have a more stealth approach and helps to sink the braid and act as a shock absorber tie on either a 3/0 wide gap finese hook from gamakatsu or an octopus hook in the same size for most worms over 5 inches or a 3/0 and sometimes 4/0 for wacky rigging a senko since they are fatter my favorite worm right now is a zoom trick worm in watermelon with a red 3/0 finese wide gap hook any who thought id let you all know about this i based this system off of the "a better wacky rigging primer" on www.bigindianabass.com
