my favorite lure is a simple curly tailed grub or worm. I always start out fishing with one before I switch to other lures. I use them in a lot of different color patterns and sizes. They are very versatile and catch bass in a lot of different situations. They are also a great way to learn a new lake or pond that you are fishing for the first time.

i just started to use it like this. You cut the long curly part of the worm off. then you get a regular hook "size 6" and stick the hook right through the middle of the worm. You have to to the worm flat through the worm. Then you cast it out, let it sink. Then give it a couple tuggs and then let it sink. Just keep doing that.

I chose spinnerbait because its essentially the same as my favorite, the chatterbait. I maim;y get reaction strikes which is basically bringing a lure like a chatterbait or a spinnerbait extremely fast thru areas with cover where you know the fish are at, and hoping that even if they aren't hungry they'll just react to it. ith a chatterbait I jerk the reel handle around once as fast as I can and then pause and repeat. I also love swimbaits and yum ribbontail texas rigged worms
