Just wondering what everone's favorite broadheads are. I use to shoot Rage 40KE but i didn't like them and people told me they thought i should get something different, so i bought some used 75 grain muzzy and i love them, they fly right on with my field tips, and I saw a possum in the field the other nite and blasted it. point blank, pinned it to the ground. right behind the shouder (it was pouring blood so i think i may have got his heart)it went thru a rib and came out the the armpit, continued thru the the leg and stuck in the ground. Also my bow is a Diamond Razor Edge set at 49 lbs.

not to change the subject but is it legal to shoot possums this time of year in Indiana? I know it isn't in Ohio.

I was just asking because he said he shot a possum the other night. it just seemed like a wierd time of year to be allowed to shoot possums

they are a nuicance and they had been knockin down my little corn stalks in the area where I shot them

i shoot the muzzy 75 grain. they have never let me down and they stay sharp for ever

What does your draw weight have to be for a Rage expandable to open???

if you go on rage broadheads site frenchy it has a thing on there for u to see if ur kinetic energy can open the broadhead. if you cant tho you could look into the new tekans by g5.

The rage 40 KE's are designed for women, youth light draw weights ect. so if your shooting a light draw weight or an older bow that is not that fast i would go witht eh 40 KE's. But on the other hand if your shooting in the area of 50 to 70lbs shoot the 2 blade. Never heard any problems about them. I shoot them myself never had a problem. Have heard some problems about the 3 blade because of the extra moving part. Give me a try im sure youll like them.

Im from miami county... and frenchy i will garuntee you that those rage will open trust me. If i got them to open out of my first bow which was a parker buckhunter at 50 lbs before they came out with the 40 KE's I think they will work for your set up. I use nothing but the rage. Every deer that i hit looks like someone took a paint bucket and stabbed about 5 holes in the bottom and walked away. There is no looking for a blood trail with those things.
