Here's what Booey bought with his birthday money this year: Vendetta XMT Electric Guitar The Dean Vendetta XMT is a solid choice for beginners and veterans alike. The Vendetta XMT is fitted with a vintage tremolo bridge so you can make this axe howl while you note bend notes like a maniac. Also features dual humbucker pickups, 25.5" scale, solid mahogany body with a bolt-on maple neck and rosewood fingerboard, and black hardware. He had me order it this evening from Musicians Friend, hopefully it will be here in time for his school talent contest next week. He really wanted the Jackson Randy Rhoads Flying V guitar, but it was a hundred dollars more and I just didn't have the money to help him out with it. (Even though I wanted to!! ) We went to the Guitar Center in Terre Haute but they didn't have any in stock that he wanted. I really hope this new guitar get's him to start playing all the time again.

Do you play Troy? My son wants to learn so bad and I should break down and get him going on this. He has become an expert on guitar hero . I'm not sure if this means anything though

Thats a nice looking guitar. Nothing like a brand new guitar to get the interest back up. In my opinion, being good at guitar hero isn't very helpful for really playing guitar. The real instrument is a lot different from the controller for that game. I actually just finished school for the semester, so I'm gonna be picking my guitar back up for the first time in a while.

I've started learning a bunch of different times through out the years but just never have stuck with it. Chase took lessons for a few years and Booey has just picked it up on his own. He makes me sick! I'd say it's a lot easier learning when you're young. Things seem to stick in your head a lot better then.

Booey's Jammin!!! He got his new guitar today and it sounds SWEET! I just heard some wild guitar solos coming from the bedroom and peeked my head in to see if it was Booey or Chase. It was Booey!
