Well i been noticeing here at the house, that the bass ARE on the nest. Have'nt seen any smallies nestin, but the largemouths deffinately are. went out this morning to do a little fishing, and seen a big ol cloud of fry. prob about 100-200 thousand. i dont know if they are bass or catfish fry(dont think my gills put off that many) but im thinkin bass cause i dont think the channels are even close to spawning yet. well thought i'd let yall know. goin back out. time to get some lips!!

i had a bass right on the shore that i would and he would swim a circle and come right back, i never did catch him

sounds to me like that was a male, and that their on the nest down there too. females are usually more aggressive when sittin on the nest.

drop shot a 6 inch plastic lizard on the nest and jig it up and down. The female will strike that thing hard
