Find where they roost, and set up around 70 yds away or so.

I went hunting this morning, it was a pretty good hunt, I saw 27 deer and 1 hen. Ya, i would go in early and quieter to if your not doing so already.

Locate them, set-up, and wait,,,call sparingly. You have to remember when a tom hears a hen and it sounds like the hen is coming to him,,,,,he's just going to stay put and show off while waiting for her....Make them come to you!!!!! Once again,,,,,Locate them, set-up, and wait!!! Hunt the same area in the morning and kill one!!!!!!

Thanks for the advise , how do i locate them around 8:00-10(without calling too much) if they arent gobbeling If they gobbled before flying down and you know where they were/are roosted, or the general area,,,set-up, call sparingly, and wait.....trust me. They don't have to gobble to commit to you and your location, or to puff up and show off. Maybe they are on their way and everytime you call they stop to strut,,,spitting and drumming,,,who knows Every day is different hunting turkey's, what worked once before may never work again, or it may work evertime,,,just remember every hunt, successful or not, is a learning experience, and the more you learn the more successful you'll be. Keep us informed Frenchy PS If tukey's had a sense of smell, they would be almost un-killable

The evening before your next morning hunt watch where they fly up and roost. The next morning go in extremely quiet and early.
