I know I am reviving an old thread here, but the Guardian and the 82nd are both great bows. Since you are wanting faster, that completely puts Matthews out of the equation I think I would go with the Guardian over the 82nd just because it feels better in my hands. I don't shoot a BowTech, but do shoot a Diamond, who is now made by BowTech. They have a great customer service, awesome strings, and arguably the best cam design, and are on the top of there game even though there 2010 lineup wasn't that impressive with only a few minor changes that too me would not make it worth buying a new bow over. Some bow companys to watch out for that are out of Indiana would be Athens and Anderson Bow Company. I am a big fan of the Anderson Bow Company and will make the switch once they show me they can stay in business for 5 years. They are heading to 3 now.

Im not just saying this because i work for a place that sells them, but in my twosense i think that Diamond (who is made by bowtech) is the best begginers bow that can be bought. The razors edge is only $350 for the whole package. I have never had one come back for a problem other then the person who is shooting it dry fired or something of that sort. All of the diamonds are just as good as the bowtechs just a few less gadgets for a smaller price. If your a big time bow hunter though, I would tell you to check out the bowtech destroyer 340 its probably my favorite bow.

I have a Diamond Razor Edge .I have it set at 50lbs .It is accurate, affordable and and fast enough to get the job done .It is a great bow for begginers .I have had the bow for a little over a year and have not had a problem with it yet

I have been shooting Archery for 20 years and shoot a Diamond, they aren't just for beginners, they are an outstanding bow that will out shoot the shooter. The only problem I have had with mine, is that the limbs had 70lb stickers on them and they were only 60lb limbs. But hey I work in a Factory and know what it is like at the end of a shift on a long day, mistakes happen. Once this problem was found I had new limbs on their way to me fresh from the camo dipping.
