I'm not much into gigging frogs. I used to many years ago, but they taste so much like fried chicken to me that I gave up gigging. Frogs eat those nasty skeeters and benefit everyone so much that I decided just to let them be. Chicken is cheap to buy, and I'd rather see the frogs eating those skeeters, rather than the skeeters sucking out all my blood ! I'm not against frog gigging. I just don't do it anymore.

Do any of those pits have flatheads in them ? I don't ever remember if any of the pits down there have them.
Also do you ever fish the river down in Greene County ? Any decent fishing there ?
Thanks

In memory Sixty years ago today the invasion began. D-Day in the Pacific. This is dedicated to the men and women in our armed forces. You are not forgotten !! Alot of good men died on this day, and this is just my way of a tribute to those that gave all !

MASSIVE FISH KILL ON THE OHIO RIVER This is a massive kill. I'll dig a little more before posting outdoorswithfrischkorn.blogspot. ... known.html www.cleveland.com/newsflash/inde ... e2776d1d43 It should be noted that catfish are dying too. There are several other articles on the internet about this, but they all say about the samething.

I want to know why ? Limb Lines in the pits.
Alright, I notice that on lots of the pits down there, that poachers have been adding lots of limb lines un-tagged without owners name. I found a few with bare hooks, and some with dead fish on them. I just cut them off. Does Indiana DNR do anything about this down there in the Greene-Sullivan and Linton pits about this ?? If not, they should !!

They are popping up ! I saw a guy today bring in 21 pounds of mushrooms. This was from the Bloomington area. I just happened to be there when he brought them in. Most were 3 to 5 inch's tall, and most were the yellow sponge mushrooms with very few grays or blacks. Here's a map. I've never made it there, but is suppose to be good ! It is in Owen County.

Root Beer Float Recipe
Ingredients Vanilla ice cream Root beer Method Spoon a scoop or two of vanilla ice cream into a tall glass. Slowly pour root beer into the glass, allowing the foam to rise and then recede before adding more root beer. Serve with straws and spoons.
How to Make a Coke Float,
or as I grew up my Dad calls them a "Black Cow" A Coke float is a simple, refreshing combination of vanilla ice cream and Coca-Cola. You can make several variations of the traditional Coke float by adding another beverage or flavoring, or by substituting different flavors of ice cream. Serve Coke floats at your next summer gathering for a simple yet welcome old-fashioned treat.
