Hey guys. I'm looking for advice on what caliber my new rifle should be. I will be buying a brand new rifle in a couple months and it will be my first brand new rifle. I'm thinking something like a .22-250 or maybe a .204 Ruger. Whats everyone's opinion? I am looking for a varmint rifle so powerful enough for yotes but also accurate out to around 300 yards.

Both of those would make excellent yote/varmint rifles. If you think you might get the chance to go hunt deer somewhere with a rifle, I'd go with a .243, which is a great yote cartridge and big enough for deer too. Keep us posted on which way you're leaning and happy shopping!

I decided to go with the .204 Ruger. I already have a deer rifle in case I ever need it. Now I just need to decide between brands. I'm looking at whether Ruger, Remington, or Savage. Any opinions?

I was going to say a .223 and if possible an AR-15. No preferance on the brands though.
