I found out yesterday that I have to have another stent put into one of my arteries. This is my second stent and I am only 38 years old! I hope this is the last one I ever need. I am frustrated because no matter what I do I can't seem to get my cholesterol under control. I have changed my diet a lot but my liver just produces way too much cholesterol. I hope getting this stent put in allows me to get back into an exercise routine so that I can shed a few pounds and hopefully improve my cholesterol a little bit.

That's a bummer man. If you want me to take care of that liver for you we can work something out.

That's a bummer man. If you want me to take care of that liver for you we can work something out. I did a pretty good liver cleanse when I was down at Troy's the other weekend What did you have in mind?

I was thinking removal. It is just a liver. It's not like you really need it or anything.

I thought he meant "with some fava beans and a nice chianti."

I thought he meant "with some fava beans and a nice chianti." Hey, we can go that route as well. I just didn't want to come across as the weird, cannibal guy.

I'm not near as frustrated now as I was when I first posted this thread! I had my heart catheterization done on Friday and just before taking me to the "operating room", my cardiologist said that he was about 90% sure I would need another stent put in during the catheterization. Well, towards the end of the procedure (I was awake for the whole thing but was on "laughing gas" so didn't feel much ) the doc says "Mr. Reed, you've beaten the odds!" He said that everything looked great and the area they were concerned about actually had less blockage than when they were in there about a year and a half ago. I'm pretty happy with the results and I am glad things have improved. I feel a lot better about myself now than I did when I first posted this...Now, let's go fishing!
