Hey Guys,
I've been thinking about planning a fishing trip for sometime during 2013 but thats about as far as I've gotten.
I'm looking for suggestions of places to go. Looking for affordable places with good fishing (obviously haha) and maybe some stuff to do for non-fishing people on the trip.
I'd love to get into some of those big bass down south somewhere, but i'm really considering anything at this point.
Anyone have any suggestions/tips/ideas? Anything will help.
Thanks in advance!

Alaska! That's #1 on my bucket list. I know some people who go to Arkansas to trout fish in the spring. Others head for Kentucky or Tennessee. Some go north to the great lakes (Michigan or Superior). Some go even further north for some good walleye/smally fishing. Me and a coworker are going to the Deer and Turkey expo in Feb. to check out charters for Erie, Dale Hollow (Kentucky/Tennessee border) and Reelfoot (TN).

Either musky breath guide service or one of the good ones on st. clair. However I have a one track mind that revolves around muskies right now!!!!

Ely, MN. Boundary Waters Canoe area. We stay at LaTourell's Moose Lake Resort. Fishing is incredible for bass, pike, perch, and walleye. We target the smallmouth and the pike. Go the first part of June for the hottest action. When the water hits 60 degrees, everything is hungry. I've been a few places, and I keep going back there. They will be at the Indianapolis Boat, Sport, and Travel Show in February, or call Bob LaTourell at 800-365-4531. They also have a website you can check out.

My favorite place to go is the strip pits in the spring for those bluegills on the beds. My son and I tent camp for four days and have best time and we don't leave Indiana.
