Nice perch. I've never caught one, but I think the coloring on them is really cool.

You have never caught a perch Goose? They are abudant up here, although catching them over 10" is pretty uncommon.

The only fishable population I know of in this part of state is Dogwood Lake in Glendale FWA. It's funny, yellow perch always show up in the DNR creel surveys from Lake Kickapoo @ Shakamak State Park, but I've never heard of anyone catching one out of there.

I've caught one perch and it was on dogwood. It was only like a 7 inch fish though.

I went to Glendale to hunt rabbits just before Christmas, and I was really impressed with the property. I may have to make another trip back down there to go fishing this spring.

I have grew up and lived in perch water all my life. It just so happens that I have 2 premiere walleye lakes close to the house. In my lifetime, I have caught more keeper 'eyes than I have 10''+ perch. And it really aint even close. Those jumbos are dang hard to come by.

goosepondmonster you should try the back side of glendale for some rabbit hunting. out there on the fringes of the mine property is absolutely AMAZING rabbit hunting but a dog is a must for that thick area, if you don't have a good dog you probably wont get alot of shots.

No dog and we only saw one rabbit. We hit area C and area K, I think it was.

In regards to what Greenie said........the creel surveys up here are the same way. It is nothing for perch to show up as 1 of the top 5 species in a particular lake, but I can never seem to put them on my hook!
Goose, I live real close to Winona and Pike Lakes in Warsaw. Pretty good populations of 'eyes in them as well as perch.
