BAH! Dont apologize to me. You asked for opinions and i simply gave you my open, honest opinion. You bought what YOU wanted with YOUR money. I truly hope it serves you better than the Taurus i had. You, your wife and kids should get many hours of fun out of the lil rig. Hard to beat plinking with a .22. AND it will really help prepare y'all for when you do decide to step up to a larger caliber. Too often i have seen new pistol shooters (myself being one, many moons ago) step into a larger caliber handgun only to be disappointed with the accuracy...not due to the guns inaccuracy but the shooters lack of skill/knowledge handling a handgun. I sincerely hope you dont take any offense to my comments of "ignorance" as none was meant. I dont know you or your level of knowledge...so i simply assume one has none and go from there. (we all know what happens when one ass-u-me s ) Happy shooting! P.S. i EXPECT a detailed range report, preferably with pics and video, and SOON!

Its an awsome gun except the accuracy is off and its loud. A really good thing is that it works best with cheap ammo!

i say you get a sawed off... Not legal in this state if the barrel(s) is less than 18". Only way around it is to buy a Serbu.

i highly recomend a .357 if you decide to buy another deffense gun, very powerful but you can shoot .38 specials out of them for plinking(less recoil), my dad has a police issue S&W and i love that gun!!!

I seen one of those a few days ago. NICE looking gun, I thought the grip was a little short, but I guess it probably would fit a ladies hand nicely.

You cant go wrong with a 1911 The 1911 is a great gun to collect but not best choice for self defense. They have a rep for failure to eject, low amo capacity, and kick alot for the average gun novice. The cost of amo and weapon are to unrealistic for someone that is really just wanting a self defense weapon. They are also tempermental about being clean and not abused. I love the 1911 but more for plinking and a collectors piece.
