I have been seeing many advertisments for the banjo minno on TV. I've been thinking about buying some but I'm not sure if they work as well as they say. Has any1 had any experience with the lures??

I've never heard anything bad about them, but all the advertising and infomercial garb that surrounds it make me not want to buy them.

Those things have been around for several years. I have yet to hear anybody say, "you gotta have 'em". I highly doubt if they are any more effective than any other lure. It's all about using the right bait at the right time.

It's all about using the right bait at the right time. I dont care HOW MUCH anyone wants to argue on the subject, It could'nt have been said any better than that.

Ieve tried them all around the place and didnt even get a nibble on any of them. To me at least around here they are just absolute junk. Ive tried them in dirty water and the clean clear water like in their advertisements and not a thing going. I dropped on right into a group of bass and they didnt go for it. When i changed to a fluke they charged samee with culprits and again with spinner and imitation shad and about everything under the sun but the banjo they would bite on. Also you cant just leave them in your tackle box like you would other plastics. If the temperatures over about 80 you can pretty much kiss your bag of banjos good bye because they will allmelt together and get ruint. I dont know f maybe it wasnt the right time of year or what but i can personally say im never wasting my cash on them again. If anybody else has had them did yours melt together too? I was starting to think after a while i just got a really bad batch of them.

I've only heard good about them, but with that said, it was the infomerrcial that said they were so good. Ever wonder about the vids they show of fish biting on lures in the big aquariums? They always bite, must starve them before they record it. Try the Alabama crippled shad. I got mine from Walmart, and if u don't like those I will be happy to take off your hands

I don't have any direct experience with them, but just the fact they are sold through an infomercial is enough for me to avoid them. They might be perfectly good lures, but I doubt they are significantly better. Reminds me of the ads in outdoor magazines for the light up lure that is claimed to be outlawed in several states. Its all just marketing. Also reminds me of that pocket fisherman they sell on TV which can apparently catch any fish in any water.
