wasnt sure where to put this but i guess here will do it seems like some days while fishing or just living life things all fall in line and go better than you'd ever hoped for i went shrooming again this morning but got sidetracked first thing by a nice fossil i found before going in the woods my spidey sense kept tingling and id look down and find another fossil so i decided id go down by the river and see if any fossils had been washed out by the rains and i quickly found a few more crinoid fossils i almost left when a huge flathead close to the bank splashed around so i stayed and watched it swim in the flooded shallows for a second and decided it was a sign that i should stay so i walked a bout 30 feet down the bank and see something strange and pic it up as soon as i realized what it was i yelled in excitement i found a fossil ammonite a cephalopod that had went extinct millions of years ago and a nice one at that after a little searching i found it to be a rather rare one instead of being worth 15 or 20 bux its worth around 175 or maybe more i didnt find any mushrooms but that surely made my day here are some pics and a link to the site with the same species mine is also 1/8 of an inch larger than this specimen www.indiana9fossils.com/ammonites/AmmonitesUSMuensteroceras.htmAttachments:

That is cool, Vinny! So are you a collector, or are you selling it to get more fishing gear?
