I was wonder if my 16ft deep V could get around on Wampler with no issues. Its been 12 years since I been there for bedding bluegills and plan to make the trip this year. Thanks Iceon

The worst part would be pulling it out on those gravel ramps. 4-Wheel drive would be very handy if you've got it. I know that I won't be putting mom and dad's 16 ft deep v on any of those pits anymore with gravel ramps.

I've seen many large boats on Wampler over the years, so I think you'll do fine. Wampler has a gravel ramp but it isn't real steep so getting the boat in/out shouldn't be an issue. Just make sure you keep your batteries good and charged because it gets extremely weed choked and can eat up a battery pretty quick. I had to get towed off that lake once I witnessed Troy's issue last summer trying to get the boat out of the water. His truck just wanted to spin the tires. The problem was the ramp was pretty steep and had extremely loose gravel. If he had 4WD he would've been fine. Luckily we were able to finally get the boat out. It was a good time

I was over there recently with my 16ft v-bottom.... pulled by my little Nissan Frontier. Gravel was pretty loose and I manage to get out after a couple of attempts, but don't know if I'll try it again.

Welcome to the site Hickman. Good place here. By chance were you at Bass Lake this evening? Seen a Frontier at one of the ramps.
As far as ramps go the one that bothers me the most is the one at Airline. I refuse to put my boat in there.

Midland Lake looks like a muddy river. We fished Bass Lake over at the Dugger Unit Friday and it was murkier than I've ever seen it, but still not too bad.
