it sucks! Y'all safe in southern part of the state? I heard you got some big storms over night that spawned a tornado or two We are supposed to get blasted up here this afternoon. I am within a day or two of having the boat restoration project done and am itching to get on the water but the forecast is horrible up here for awhile. You guys down in the southern half have probably had plenty of good fishing days already. Up here we have had very few. I don't think people realize how different northern indiana temps vary from southern indiana temps. Since I fish in southern indiana alot I watch the temps down there quite frequently. I've noticed that spring, fall and winter temps often vary by 15 degrees and summer temps are generally the same. Friday night I drove down to Indy. When I left my house it was 42 degrees and windy as heck. When I arrived in Indy (two hours later and after dark) it was 63 degrees and still quite breezy! The temps made it feel like we must've drove 8 hours south. It's unbelievable how much difference a 100 miles can make! Fish on!

Everyone at work was talking about how the storm woke them up. I guess I slept right through it. We're getting ready to be slammed again right now. I can HEAR those big yella shrooms popping up!!

We ended up not getting it too bad up here last night. But, I was watching the national storms on The Weather Channel and boy it looked like all you guys around Terre Haute were getting hammered. I was thinking about all of ya last night. I hope everyone made it through safe and sound.
On my post that started this thread I mentioned temperature differences from northern to southern Indiana during this time of year. Yesterday the high was 39 degrees here and I noticed the southern half of the state was around 70 degrees. At 5:00 yesterday evening it was 39 degrees in Chicago and 85 in St. Louis. Wow! Huge difference for two cities that are just a few hours apart.

Heres the silo that got destroyed before the storm it was almost twice as tall as the one on the right. thats the trampoline. You can see the hole one of the limbs poked through it.

This rain is killing me. The area I have been planning on turkey hunting at has been inaccessible the last two weeks cuz of water. I'm hoping to be able to get out this Sunday. Might be muddy, but I don't feel like eating my $24 turkey tag.
