Ok, Brian I told ya I would try to put something togeather so you could see me go through the process of rebluing a gun at home using a Hoppe's Gun Blue Kit. Its not a "BBB" quality video, but its enough to get ya started. After it was all done, I am VERY PLEASED with the way it turned out. The pictures really don't do it any justice. So, enough talk, here it is.

Looks good Anthony! This is a project I would like to do with an old sxs that has seen better days. Problem is finding a sxs that isn't completely trashed and overpriced for its condition.

I'll keep my eyes open for you. Its hard to find ANYTHING that is'nt OVERPRICED in todays market. You may try Danny Favre's in terre haute. 812 235 0198

The closest thing I've found was at the 1500 in Jan '10. Even though this gun was in good condition it was exactly what I was looking for and was priced right. Problem was I had already purchased the upper for my AR before I found it. I don't remember what the make of it was but it was a 12 gauge, 19 inch barrells with hammers. If I remember right the price tag was just over $400 and worth every penny in my book. Especially when compared to others I've seen. I've never been in Favre's before but have heard positive things. I'm actually holding off on any firearm purchases for the time being. I need to buy a bigger gun safe first.

LOL. Bigger gun safe? we could'nt find that, thats why we have a "GUN ROOM" lol. That sounds VERY reasonable for a sxs. The fact that it had 19 inch barrelsand hammers, makes me think first of a Coach gun. THESE THINGS were AWSOME! I have allways wanted one. Too bad you were'nt able to get it at that price though. oh well, the 1500 is creepin up again soon
