The BellBucksnBeards Pro Staff will be joining Captain Rick Millette of Erie Quest Charters for some spring walleye action on Lake Erie in April. Captain Rick said it's not unusual to boat up to 100 walleye on a 4-5 hour trip. This should make a GREAT video!Lake Erie has earned and continues to retain the title of Walleye Capital of the World. This prestigious title is deserved - LAKE ERIE is loaded with WALLEYES! Not only for numbers of fish, but they can, and do grow to TROPHY size as well.
The best time for Trophy Walleyes is in April and May, during our spring season and again in the fall, in September and October. Some of these lunkers are 10-14 pounds. If you are looking for numbers and want to have a lot of fun, then come see us in May, June or July and feel the excitement when a walleye crashes your lure!
Erie Quest Charters utilizes time tested Walleye tackle and techniques that work. Whether vertical jigging, bottom bouncing or drift casting - your trip will be one that you and your group will long remember for years to come.www.eriequest.com

yes walleye are great eaters but try some spoonbill if you get the chance, which I don't get to try very often my self, since you have to go to Kentucky to get some, my brother goes once in awhile.

I am right with you Dan..Spoonbill is dang good eating!! It doesn't taste like fish at all..More firm and hard to describe and you don't have to mess with bones. I prefer perch to about any other fish then maybe walleye, pike, bluegill and flounder. I checked with Dale and that is the same week that Ill be over on Erie fishing with him but I will take off and jump in the boat with you fellers for a day. Should be a lot of fun!! R

Luv the pic Troy and I am really excited to go on this April walleye trip. I was born and raised 10 minutes from Lake Erie for 30+ years. This is my home and where I fished with my grandfather in the 1960's & 70's. Don't be surprised if we boat over 100+ walleye for the day or stick a "Pig" Walleye in the 10-13 pound range! Field & Stream magazine is doing a "Featured" article on Lake Erie in the March, 2009 issue. Check it out...I was interviewed on Erie jig fishing techniques. We'll being using some of those same techniques in early April. Woo-hoo! Can't wait Troy & Chase...we are going to have a blast!

We are all really looking forward to this trip Capt Rick! I'm also looking forward to that Field & Stream article. I'm a long time subscriber and read it front to back every month.
