My dad has still been in the hospital since september 11 and has been proggressing slowly, so the doctors think its time to try to take the guall bladder out since that is the main problem causing all this. He just went down to pre op. The risk is that he will be to weak to make it through the surgery but hopefully it will all go well. The surgery is going to be four to five hours so please keep him in your prayers.

well he had his surgery, it was originally going to be four to five hours, but they cut it short because he was loosing blood and wasn't stable enough to keep going so it ended up just being two. He is stable now though but will have to be on life support for at least a week. He has cyst's that have infected soft mushy fluid like stuff that needs to be drained, and before the surgery he had one one tube that was draining this and finally after a month, they realized it wasn't working so they put five bigger drains in. they were gonna try to get the Gaul bladder out if they could but his body wasn't strong enough for that. But hopefully with these new drains in, he will start progressing faster.

I will keep on praying for him. Sounds like your dad is a strong guy to be going through all of this.
