Hey guys, I'm getting four wisdom teeth out tomorrow morning. Anyone ever have this before? What should I expect for recovery time?

Well, I had 2 pulled and 2 cut out. I was gassed for the 2 that were cut out and don't remember much until the ride home. It was over in Bloomington(about an hour drive) and Kim stopped in Spencer(about half way home) at Walmart to get my pain killers and I was spitting out mouthfulls of blood in the parking lot. Not fun. I was dreading getting the other 2 pulled, but it was no big deal. Shot, yank, done. If they're just being pulled you should be fine, if not......good luck!

I have never had (KNOCK ON WOOD) wisdom teeth come in, but i HAVE had 8 of my molars pulled and cut out. I will tell you now its not fun. I remember when i was in the air force and in tech school in Whitchita Falls TX. I had 3 out in one afternoon. I had to march ALL the way back to the dorms from the Medical Building, and I was spittin blood the WHOLE WAY!! They will most likeley ask you if you want 800 mg ibuprofen or Vicodin. Get the Vicodin! And also, they will tell you not to use a straw because you will suck out any blood clotting, and just keep Bleeding. Also If you smoke, DONT untill you are HEALED! If you do pull those clots out, they have to pack the cavity in your jaw bone with a NASTY little GOO covered Gause, and it taste HORRIBLE!!!! If you ARE a smoker, I suggest gettin some patches for a few days, dont think about gettin a can of chew. It does'nt really work out, you just end up with Skoal runnin down your face cause you cant spit. other than that GOOD LUCK!!!

Got home around one. I woke up just as they were finishing and was awake until a few hours after I got home. Everything went well and no pain yet, but my whole lower lip and chin are still numb. They gave me Percoset for painkillers. I think they were cut out because they were all under the surface, but not much bleeding.

if they did cut them out and stitch you up, you SHOULD'NT have much bleeding. Congrats on the Percosets, should'nt have much pain....wont be able to walk or talk, but should'nt have much pain.

Well, I woke up today feeling pretty much normal. Just have a little swelling in my cheeks and have no pain at all. All in all, the surgery went great

Sounds like it went real good considering Anthony and Dad's experiences.

I have a feeling my time is approaching for this. The last time I was at the dentist he mentioned it.

my teeth have ALLWAYS been bad, family heredity. I also have never really taken too good of care of them. Most of my teeth are gone or broken, and because i have a few "GOOD" (according to the DDS) teeth on bottom in front, They wont give me Dentures. Chase and Booey, TAKE CARE OF YOUR GUYS TEETH! It sucks when you have to go to the dentist every month to have teeth yanked!!
