I understand how it is easy to point fingers at the kids. But think how hard it is at times to drive a bass boat with the seat in the front pedestal visibility wise. Now add in the factor most bass boats seat 2-3 news said that there were several in the boat,so someone might have even been sitting in the front of the boat. News report said both boats were moving and it was a head on hit. Any way you look at it.It is a sad thing.

well from what i understand from the damage on the two boats the collision was the speedboat hitting the bass boat not head on cuz the damage on the bass boat was on the stern or back on the port side or left side and the speedboat had damage on the starboard bow and only on the starboard bow so how i look at it it was a t-bone accident and i dont see the bass boat being at fault cuz i dont see a family that owns a guide service maneuvering a boat incorrectly the crash seems strange not to mention the kids in the speedboat left the scene of the accident and did not aid the injured because they thought they might be sinking i worked on boats and on an expensive speedboat like that they should have a working bilge pump and bilge alarms making it improbable that they thought they were sinking no alcohol was involved but that doesn't mean other drugs weren't and they didnt dump them while motoring to the marina I just see it as another sad accident with young rich kids in there parents boat killing people and getting away with it like always happens

people don't realize that drunk boating carries the same charges as drunk driving. at least in Ohio it does.
