I would definitely go with Les Stroud. The fact that he goes out all by himself and does all of his own filming really makes me respect him. Bear Grylls just seems a little over the top to me and tends to do things just to shock the audience. I love hearing Stroud play harmonica too.

I would deffinately go with les. over the yerars, i have become quite a fan of his and learned much from him. And nothing against Mr. Grylls, but i seen enough of his Gun -Ho type in the service. Being with les would be more like a vacation.

Definitely Les! I love watching his show and it just amazes me how he does everything hmself. That show would be hard to put together even with a cameraman, and to film yourself is just crazy. I respect Bear Grylls' skills, but he just gets on my nerves. I haven't watched him since that joke of a show with Will Ferrell.

I go with les, he does it by himself, and does it better. Bear is a joke! He did a show in alabama, the place was about 30 minutes from where I live. There are no crocodiles here at all, and he was scared about seeing them in the dead of winter in north alabama! idiot....

that was pretty stupid with the crocodiles. if anything there might be a rare alligator down there but definitely not in the winter. did you see him kill that "wild" hog there too? If Stroud kills something, it isn't tied to a tree.

Oh, I thought he "set a trap" and the hog "walked into it"

I prefer Les because he does stuff you would actually need to do to survive, bear grylls does a bunch of stunts that would actually get you killed lol. And grylls always happens to magically find a dead animal or something to eat...

plus Stroud also actually cooks the food that he finds.

k guys.. i understand that that les is really amazing to gout there all by yourself. but i learn alot more from grylls, plus he has to be able to build all the rafts, tents, fures, etc. i lioke watching them both but my personal opinion is that bear is the best.
P.S. anybody saw the episode where bear kills the snared hog with wis knife??? i never see much of that from Les(-=
